Karaoke Battle 2026

Hours: Infinity Music Hall: 6pm-11pm each night Main event: 3pm-5pm July 19th
Entrance fee: 10$ for regular entrance. Free for Connecticon attendees.
Karaoke Event performer invite Info:
Every hour of Karaoke at the Infinity Hall event 2 performers will be offered invites to perform on stage at the official Karaoke tournament on Sunday July 19th on the main stage of Infinity Music Hall.
Karaoke performers who succeed in our event and have received an invite to perform at the Main Stage on Sunday July 19th will need to arrive at 2:30pm at Infinity Music Hall.
(If a badge needs to be purchased for the successful contestant to move forward in the competition Convivial will offer free entry to the Convivial Karaoke Finals.)
Hours of Karaoke will be left to the DJs discretion. The DJ has the option to play music if there are not enough karaoke participants later in the evening.

Official Competition details:
This official tournament will host up to 18 contestants.
All contestants that participate in the finals on Sunday at the Infinity Hall Main Stage will receive 2 Badges for Connecticon 2027.
The first rounds will have a list of 30 songs that seated viewers will vote on. Performers will then sing the song chosen by the crowd. Performers will get the song’s lyric text played to them through a monitor on stage.
This will be the fast paced knock out portion of the event. Performers who do not complete the song will be disqualified. Performers must attempt to sing and complete whatever song is voted on by the crowd. Just completing the song can be the difference between dropping out or moving forward to the next round.
After the first round Contestants will line up and the crowd will cheer for the participants they like most. The host on stage will make the judgment call on who the crowd has chosen.
The second round will have 9 contestants.These Contestants will have to choose one song to perform from our next list of 20 songs. This list of songs would be handed to contestants when offered a chance to participate.
On stage performers will draw straws to figure out an order. Performers will pick songs and the song options will drop in number as contestants take from the pool of music available to them.
Performers would hopefully pick a song they prefer and have had more time to practice but this isn’t a guarantee since multiple contestants may favor the same song.
After the performances are over contestants will line up on stage again
The host will go from contestant to contestant and ask for the crowd to cheer. The host will listen to the crowd and choose the 4 loudest applauses.
Only 4 participants will move forward to the next round. In this round participants are allowed to pick any song they like from the full Karafun song list.
This round participants will sing their favorite song and for this portion. Votes will be cast in a box. The crowd will be called by row to vote.
Votes will be tallied aloud and on stage.
1st place will be announced
2nd,3rd,4th will be given another round of applause and receive their prizes.
Each of the four contestants will have their Connecticon 2027 Badges upgraded to Valiant Badge Bundles
The champion will receive 2 Valiant Badge Bundles and a Hotel stay at the Marriott Wednesday -Sunday for Connecticon 2027
